• Day 7 Gunwalloe - Kynance Cove

    July 10 in England ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

The day started with Sue (a lady staying in her camper van) offering me a cup of coffee from a real mug. Pure luxury! Then left the little pop up campsite in glorious sunshine. The lovely open cliff top walking also meant no relief from the sun so ended up making sleeves out of my towel to stop my arms from burning. Factor 50 just wasn’t cutting the mustard! Walked into Mullion cove for supplies. Filled up with water at the local cricket club and got invited to spend the evening with them, food and an evening of singing sea shanty’s. Also chatted to the Knit & natter group. I could have spent all day there! Reluctantly left, Kynance Cove was waiting, after an extremely hot day we rested for the afternoon on the beach at Kynance. There we met a fellow thru hiker who we named ‘Luke’ as we didn’t know his name. We pitched the tents above Kynance Cove that evening to the most stunning sunset and red moon. Cooked rice and Sardines (needs must) and toasted another fabulous day with a shot of rum.Read more
