Vienna to Milan on Two Wheels

After arriving at my BnB a bit early, I quickly assembled my bike before Ash arrived. The box was a bit beat up but the bike was untouched. It seemed all the foam and packing materials did their job. We headed to a pizza spot just down the street that was suggested by our BnB host and it was delicious. Their pizza oven is a giant disco ball and as soon as the clock stuck 9:00, the lights went out and the disco ball came on. They had fantastic food and drink. The next morning we woke around 5:30am and thought we might as well get an early start on the day. We headed for a nearby coffee shop that opened at 7:30, most didn’t open until 9. After a nice coffee in the sun we went to the historic cathedral. It was a stunning sight, and we did the tour of the catacombs. Nothing humbles you quite like seeing the coffin of someone who passed 1000 years ago. While wandering the city we admired the bike infrastructure and how pedestrian friendly the city is. We had a fun and exhausting day checking out the city, finding a wine tasting event and stumbling out of it; eating schnitzel and drinking beer! Eventually finding our way back to the BnB and taking a nap. Now it’s time for some more disco pizza, as that was way too good not to go back for seconds!Baca selengkapnya
