Easy day

We’ve been on the road for a couple of weeks now and whilst we’re still enjoying it, it’s quite draining having to plan all the time. Don’t feel like we’ve really stopped at all so, both of us feeling rather fatigued, decided to do not much for the day! Well, I say we didn’t do much, we visited the pink lagoon in Torrevieja (Lago Rosa) - made pink by the high salt content and thriving bacteria. Apparently you can float in it and it’s minerals are healing? I paddled in up to my feet but didn’t feel the need to get in. I must admit, as my feet dried off the excess salt made my feet look sparkly and fabulous so that’s healing in itself, right?! On our way to the lagoon we were stopped by the local police doing random checks at a roundabout. I guess we stick out a bit so they pulled us over. Once they checked Gary’s licence and had a quick nose in the back they seemed happy enough. We have nothing to hide but I know there isn’t many uk vehicles this end of Spain at all. After the lagoon we took a slow drive to an aire in La Marina we found a bit further along which turned out to be quite pleasant actually and just hung out at the van for the afternoon reading and just a little shopping for dinner. There’s a British shop literally next door to the site that sells Waitrose/Iceland produce, all the names brands you get in the uk though for twice the price. Good to get a couple of bits we hadn’t been able to find otherwise we’ve been using the Lidls that are everywhere.
Had a fam chat, Gary listened to the football on the radio, had dinner, shower and played games. Too easy.Читать далее
