Today was a perfect day of site seeing! The weather was warm but not unbearable. First we took the bullet train into Kyoto - where we visited the Gold Temple. The views were absolutely breath taking - and the temple property was so well maintained! From there - we took the subway over to Fushimi Inari Temple. Wow, wow, wow is what I have to say about this temple! There were so many different shrines and passage ways to walk through it was truly remarkable. We walked about a quarter of the way through the area and pretty much got exhausted and turned around! Next time though we will be sure to walk the entire property.
After a long day of site seeing - we finished off with a wonderful dinner at the hotel. Truly a remarkable day today! Tomorrow we are headed into Hiroshima .. where we will see peace park. Excited for what the day will bringRead more
