    Athens H3 Trail #2110ish

    March 1, 2020 in Greece ⋅ ☀️ 12 °C

Having crossed off the Parthenon from my bucket list yesterday, today it was time to cross the Athens H3 off another list. Meet time was 11:00 am, and we had about a 45 minute drive to get there (so off we went). Athens is a pretty big city, and crowded downtown where we are staying. But the farther north we went, the quieter the streets got, until we arrived and there was not a soul on the streets. Wondering if we were in the right place, we waited tentatively. But the pack soon arrived, and the hash was on. The hare had set two trails (runners and walkers), and explained for the runners, that the flour was white on the streets, but used blue on the dirt trails. We took off in a pack of 6 runners, and soon found our way to the shiggy. Trail was excellent, with plenty of dirt tracks and false trails, and we eventually popped out in the back end of a neighborhood, and back into the park. Circle was in a mini amphitheater, and started with a bottle of Ouzo. The walkers eventually rolled in, and the festivities began. After a fun circle, we all wandered across the street into a lovely little neighborhood restaurant for some Greek delights. A great day of hashing with the Athens H3. https://www.relive.cc/view/vYvE9PK1GwvRead more
