    Due to the eclipse the day before, accommodation in Oviedo was at a premium...so I decided to head to Gijón for a couple of days before returning to Oviedo for a look around.
    SO glad I did...Gijón was a beautiful city and so easy to get around. I asked ChatGPT for a walking tour and 12kms later I had seen all the sights in the city! Very beautiful and topped off with an AMAZING fireworks display. The fireworks were for the iconic Noche de los Fuegos (Night of the Fires), held on the eve of the Feast of Begoña (Fiestas de Begoña)Read more
