Trevi Fountain and city scenes

We walked around the city proper early this morning on our way to see St Peter's Basillica. We stopped and saw Trevi Fountain as well as a few more popular squares along the way.
PengembaraThis fountain is so romantic but beware... lot of thieves messing up with the tourist...
PengembaraGood to know. We got to Trevi @ about 6:30 on a Saturday and there were many 20 people there. We were lucky to see it so empty. I think the pick pockets weren't up yet.

Vatican

The Vatican was an amazing experience. We saw, the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Photography was not allowed in the Sistine Chapel, but we took too many pictures around the museum.
PengembaraOh, the Map Room? Yes, when the Pope was head of Rome was when it was created. Each painting was a zoom in of a region of Italy. Emily estimated it to be about 120 yds.
PengembaraThey used to hold elaborate parties in the map room. Apparently the elite wealthy would congregate around areas they had knowledge on and speak towards them. If a guest was quiet towards the end of the night showcasing their lack of knowledge they would not be welcomed back.
Baths of Caracalla

First Italian dinner

We arrived safely in Rome, and checked into our BnB. After a recommendation from our host we had our first true Italian dinner at Spaccio.
