Lagos, boat trip, old town & pool

Lagos day to explore.
Had much better night, less coughing. Breakfast lovely. Private boat around the coast; skipper & guide both female! Great experience. Weather perfect today!
Small boat, (6 passengers, 2 crew) a great advantage as we could go into the grottoes and small bays etc. There were kayakers , divers. Swimmers, tourists etc but the numbers were ok. Must be chaos in summer season. We learnt lots from the crew about the areathen they gave us Portuguese Tawney Port! The best so far in my view! Just the ticket 🎫. 🤣.
This was followed by a trip around the ‘old’ town. The skipper had been a bit apologetic about the newness of Lagos, as most of it was destroyed in the 1750’s earthquake then slowly rebuilt - in that the streets are wider etc. I hope the same applies to Chch in how many hundred years from now.
We had pizza for lunch - excellent! Followed by obligatory touristy shopping. Cork & more cork!
I asked one shopkeeper who had good English if I could haggle, he more or less laughed as it was quite an upmarket shop, but he did knock 2 euro off for cash! Maybe its not too late to learn this skill, 2 euro today ? Hundreds tomorrow. Need more practice obviously.
