SB Day 9: Harstad

Our first port this morning was Finnsness. It was at 4:20a. As you might expect, we were fast asleep during that 20-minute stop. As close as we are to both gangways, that we aren’t awakened by port operations is a good thing.

With a ½-hour stop scheduled in Harstad, we went to breakfast early. Once we were docked, Mui hopped off for the 20-minutes he was allowed to be ashore to get a close-up photo for me of the current harbor admin building. I didn’t attempt to walk the distance myself … with my short legs, I would have had to triple time it in the allotted time.

While he was on shore, I took advantage of the dry conditions to break out my Nikon Coolpix P950 to zoom in on some of the distant scenery that caught my eye.Read more
