• Day 7 Fogar do Vento to Ordes

    We woke up to rain. It seems to be the theme for the Camino this year, the rain in Spain. Fully poncho'd up we set off yet again into the eye of the storm. The first Café to appear through the mist provided us with a bit of respite with some coffee and toastada con queso. We tried to put off the inevitable by having another coffee, but we eventually had to face the weather again. After a short time and with the rain unabating, we used the excuse of Pilar needing the bathroom to stop again. The Café seemed to be situated in the living room of an old lady's house. She was very welcoming and provided a tapa of homemade chorizo to accompany our refreshments. Looking outside, we noted that the wind had dropped and the rain ceased, allowing us a dry walk into Ordes. The town seems deserted, but that is probably due to Easter, but we checked into a reasonably priced hotel with a spectacular view over the town.
