    St. Augustine

    April 7, 2021 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 73 °F

We had a great day! We went to St. Augustine on the bike. The temps were anywhere from high 70s to mid 80s depending on how far from the water we were. A light breeze. Some of the bluest skies we've seen in a while. We went into old town and ate lunch at an English tavern. Bangers and Mash was our lunch. That's a piece of sausage with mashed potatoes and carmalized onions covered in gravy. Neither one of us had had that before. Love the new experiences. We walked around old town for a while and found a mini-donut place. Ah yes. Dessert. If you've never had mini-donuts before, I suggest you never try them. Yes. They're that good. After walking through town, we went out to Ponce De Leon's fountain of youth. We drank from the fountain. They were very small glasses so we figure we're about 3 minutes younger now. It was a lovely tourist trap, um, I mean attraction. Seriously, it was a beautiful walk through with history stuff and peacocks. After that a nice ride back home. I'm trying to decide which pics to include. I know one of them will be when they shot off the cannon just because I actually caught that one at a perfect time.Read more
