Yes, the time came for us to take a holiday from the holiday 😅 After travelling pretty quickly round countries and cities, we needed some time to do very little and go to the beach. So, we changed our flights, extended our stay, and decided to go to the hidden gem of Puerto Escondido. All fine and well, except that every other gringo from Oaxaca also came here after the celebrations too... Turns out it's an expensive party place lol. However, we've still loved it!

For us, it's been exploring smaller beaches (and clinging onto the back of open 'colectivo' trucks to get there), surfing lessons, and some open-air BBQs with mezcal thrown in. What's not to love?!Read more
