Chichen Itza

📍Chichen Itza, Valladolid, Izamal and a cenote, Mexico

Arrived to Mérida, and fired straight onto a big tourist tour to another one of the seven wonders of the world. Turns out it was our best organised excursion of the trip and we managed to squeeze in visiting a few smaller towns in the Yucatan area too which were so pretty (and had cheap street tacos)! Learning about Maya culture was fascinating and one of the best things we discovered is that if you clap at a specific point at the bottom of the pyramid, a quetzal bird noise plays back at you created inside the structure, which is A 97% ACCURACY to the real bird 🤯

Then we visited our first cenote, big water holes created by meteors (supposedly). And as usual, Adam was absolutely thriving in the water. Him and a nine year old boy were competitvely taking turns to run and jump off the diving platform, and he's never looked happier.Baca lagi
