Farewell to the Mayenne River

Arrived at the boat in Chateau Gontier a week ago. All was well and clean thanks to our local help man, Alain. Biked to supie, hardware, dealt with jet lag, and walked each am. Cruised down river to Angers, where we await our crane lift out on Weds. Very pleasant Marina location opposite large Chateau, with nice restaurants and easy cycle rides from the boat. Weather very spring like, nice days with a few showers, but cold nights. Landscapes very verdant and lush. Did a 40 k ride along La Loire a Velo, which turned in to 50 km as we got lost. Very happy with knee, hip and butt ! And another ride today to a small village on island in Loire River . Enjoyed 3 markets already from where we love buying ready to eat dinners - had delicious Moroccan lamb shanks last night. Marina restaurant tonight. All tres contentes ici ..
