Leaving the paved routes to check out the gravel. This car is so comfortable even on rough roads, very neat. With 25 years and 380.000 km on the odometer not bad.

Didn't really do much here, but they have nice traffic lights. Just got some gas (at 2.18 € / liter actually not that bad) and drove on to the next campsite.

It's kinda fresh around zero degrees but one stunning view chases the next, no time to feel cold. Solo thankful for the exceptional weather, this is by no means guaranteed at this time of the year...

I recall that there is this neat vegur-app / web page listing all Icelandic roads and their current state - did it not mark those roads as closed? Or did you not trust the warnings 😁 and rather wanted to see for yourself?
