We are in Adelaide to watch Benny play cricket for the WA under 12s state team ( not a bad effort by him just getting selected ). The rest of Karl’s family are here so a great catchup time as I haven’t seen them for over eighteen months. The WA team didn’t fare to well ,Benny played well for most of it ,it was a great learning curve for the whole team. What an experience for boys of that age. I throughly enjoyed all the games and the weather was kind to us as well.
We leave here to drive to Melbourne airport as Bess flys home on the 30th to spend Christmas with her grandees!! I will go to Tasmania on the 14th to meet Nicks and Andy for Christmas and Bess will join us there on the 30th December. We will have a couple of weeks with Nicks and Andy and then Bess and I will set out on our Tasmanian trek , for how long we will have to wait and see. Mean while I be up in the high country enjoying the beautiful bush and serenity.Read more
TravelerWhat a great family catch up. Well done for Ben being selected for WA. That is an awesome effort. Any sign of the fires down there in SA? We got back from Queensland last week and it is incredibly dry there. We watched a fire start and then get fought for a day and a half just north of Noosa. Enjoy your travels guys especially Tassie.😎
The GypsiesHi Kev, It's Bess here, The Eyre Peninsula crops were amazing, the best we've seen. Even Adelaide was beautifully green. So many parks and street trees. No sign of fires while we were there, but some days there was total harvest bans due to extreme temps and high winds. I'm in Perth for a month now and meeting Dave in Tassie at the end of the month. Love to you and Rae. X
Hi Dave and Bess, great to see all your adventures, I'm feeling even more disappointed about not making it to Tassie this Christmas. But also excited to do my own bit of camping down south! Give us another update soon. Have a wonderful Christmas in Perth with your grandkids Bess, and Dave don't topple into the pond between Melbourne and Tassie!
