      הולכים אחרי תחושות הבטן

      אחרי כאבי בטן, אהבה רבה, טיולים קטנים ורצון לחקור מקומות קצת פחות מתויירים הבנו שאנחנו לא יכולים לעשות את זה בקמבודיה, לא ככה.
      אז החלטנו להקדים את החזרה שלנו לתאילנד בשבוע, לקראת הטיסה הבאה, ולמצוא בתאילנד מקומות שעוד לא היינו בהם ושיהיו קצת פחות סטטים (עד כמה שאנחנו אוהבים להתמסר לסטטיות חשוב קצת לגוון). אז בערב האחרון בקמבודיה קנינו את הכרטיסי אוטובוס במחיר מצחיק לבנגקוק.
      יש לציין שהיה חשוב לנצל את פקקי הבירה הזוכים שהיו לנו ובדרך חזרה להוסטל, כבר די עייפים, לקחנו את שתי הבירות שזכינו בהן. בחצי צחוק הצעתי שנפתח אותן כאן לראות אם זכינו בעוד, והפלא ופלא זכינו בעוד שתיים וכשפתחנו אותן זכינו בעוד בירה! וככה בלי לתכנן זכינו בשש פחיות בירה! וחילקנו אותן ברחוב לחבורה בריטית חמודה שהתלהבה איתנו מכל זכייה.
      סיום מספק לחלוטין.
      בבוקר קמנו מוקדם ועלינו על הוואן הראשון עד לגבול, הנסיעה עברה ממש בטוב עם נופים יפים והרבה מקום התפרשות- אין תלונות.
      בגבול ירדנו והיינו צריכים לעבור רגלית, אני ותמיר עברנו את זה די מהר והתהליך היה קליל.
      תומר יצא בקלות מקמבודיה אבל שהגענו לתחנת הכניסה של תאילנד עצרו אותו.
      בגלל שהוא טס עם דרכון רומני אמרו לו שהוא חייב להוציא ויזה לתאילנד. סבבה.
      אבל הוא חייב לשלם רק בבאט (הכסף התאילנדי) וכמובן שלא מקבלים אשראי, ששאלנו אם יש פה כספומט? הפקידה שהייתה אחראית על תומר, והנוראית מכולן, גלגלה עיניים בשלילה, ששאלנו אם אפשר לשלם בדולר? גם כמובן שלא
      אז מה יש לעשות?
      שיחזור לקמבודיה להוציא באט….
      תמיר חברו הטוב ביותר לקח יוזמה ויצא לרחובות תאילנד לחפש כספומט.
      אחרי עשרים דקות לחוצות וחמות בהן כל האנשים שבאו איתנו על המיני וואן נשארו איתנו כדי לראות מה קורה ולעזור אם צריך, אפילו הציעו קצת כסף, תמיר חזר עם הבאט הנכסף.
      מהר תומר נעלם לעשות את הויזה והמשכנו למיניבוס הבא.
      שם הסיפור היה אחר, כשהגענו כבר הכל היה די מלא וכמובן שאין באגאז אז התיקים גם תופסים מקומות.
      וככה התחיל החלק השני עם הנהג הדוחה בתבל, כולם יושבים אחד על השני ועל התיקים.
      אחרי חמש שעות נסיעה וריב אחד שלי עם הנהג על החלון הפתוח שהנהג טען שכל המיניבוס יתפוצץ אם ניסע עם חלון פתוח (נראלי שזה מה שהוא אמר בעיקר עשה בוםםםם וסימן עם הידיים פיצוץ), בסוך ניצחתי ונסענו עם חלון פתוח ולא התפוצצנו.
      כשהגענו לבנגקוק הגענו לחדר הכי שווה שהיה לנו כשלישייה, ממש בית קטן.
      חיש מהר התאפסנו ויצאנו לאכול קצת פאד תאי תאילנדי, לקנות סים, ולהבין איך ולאן אנחנו נוסעים מחר.      Read more

      Siem Reap, Cambodia

      Siem Reap is home to Angkor Wat and other majestic temples.

      There is also a big and unusually organized night market. Instead of nocturnal stands along a long street, Siem reap's night market is distributed mostly in permanent stands across the street from each other, which open mostly only at night, but also during the day. There is also a day market (the "old" market) where you can find almost anything you find at the night market.
      I had some wonderful amok here. And lots of fruit shakes for a dollar. I also had a wonderful massage. The city is very much organized around tourism with big fancy hotels, casinos and restaurants.

      A tuk tuk took us to Angkor wat for sunset, and for sunrise the next day. To my surprise, the temples weren't horribly crowded in the morning, and we managed to walk and tuk tuk around for about 8 hours without much interference. It was insanely hot, but our sweet tuk tuk driver kept us alive by offering us cold water at the exit of every temple.

      Cambodia is without a doubt the poorest of all the countries I've been to is SEA. There are many many children working around the temples, selling postcards, magnets and books about the site's history. Children as your as the age of 3 years old are all alone, or only accompanied by other children trying to survive from tourists. As almost every place I've seen so far in this continent, the beauty of its history and architecture is countered by a very harsh reality. Child labor, extreme animal cruelty, prostitution and complete lack of environmental awareness are widespread and deeply rooted here.

      I spent my last three days in Siem Reap, and in Cambodia, and in South East Asia, in a yoga and meditation retreat place called Angkor Zen gardens. It was wonderfully blissful. The perfect closure for a few perfect months of traveling around.
