Good paddle but very windy and 1ft waves. Hot shower and then dinner. Tomorrow I will paddle another area after breakfast.

So did a great hike on the west side of El Malpais, more to my comfort zone. Open area, lava fields, great views and caves. Back to campsite to eat, read and sleep.

Cliff dwellers and a gorgeous canyon..The 273 steps to see them were fun. There are cliff dwellings in the surrounding canyon walls also.

Wish you were all here to see this yourself. 48 degrees and crystal clear. Now the dog up ahead barking at me with no one around is interesting. And it is a dog not a wolf.
