Emily Embo 🇬🇧 We've been in Pokhara for a few days and we really like the city. It is quieter and cleaner here than in Kathmandu and there is more space for streets, shops and nature. The atmosphere is not hectic and the people are friendly like everywhere in Nepal. We have already seen the sunset over the mountains at the lake, but the weather is supposed to get worse. There are so many different things to experience here that it will certainly not be our last time here. Yesterday we went paragliding, which was my number 1 on the to-do list. In the morning our guides picked us up and we collected the other participants, then we went up to 1740 metres. The ride up there was typically Nepali and I'm sure the ride up was far more dangerous than the way down with the paraglider. After a short briefing, we were strapped into our harnesses and off we went one by one. Lucas was first and I could see him take off, then it was my turn. Although it was cloudy I could see a lot and it was just remarkable. We flew up with the thermals but we were not alone, eagles used the same spot to create lift. Being a few metres close to the eagles in the air was indescribable. Slowly we flew towards the landing site and I asked my guide if we could do some acrobatics, also called "flyover" or "rollover". We still had enough altitude to do some tricks in the air and it was so much fun! When we got back to the hotel, Lucas got a fever and we had to postpone the hike that was planned for today and tomorrow. He is a bit better now and we took the boat out on the lake in the morning. The view was beautiful and I got a sunburn, at least the weather is a bit better again! ☀️
