🇩🇪 Bologna
Am Wochenende haben wir Helferinnen frei, also entschieden wir uns, die Farm zu verlassen und Bologna zu erkunden. Mit dem Bus fahren wir eine Stunde lang nach Modena, um von dort aus den Zug zu nehmen. Als wir in Bologna ankommen, frühstücken wir zuerst und schauen uns die Stadt an. Wir sehen unter anderem die Türme von Bologna, den Hauptplatz “Piazza Maggiore” und den Reno-Kanal. Im Hostel ruhen wir uns aus und machen uns frisch fürs Abendessen. Langsam laufen wir los und holen uns spontan noch einen Aperol-Spritz. Danach genießen wir original italienische Pasta und auf dem Weg zurück holen wir uns noch Gelato. Die beiden Mädels machen sich für das Feierngehen fertig, ich bleibe hingegen im Hostel und schlafe bald ein. Am nächsten Morgen gehe ich zur Rezeption, um mir einen Frühstücks-Gutschein für das Buffet zu kaufen. Allerdings war niemand an der Rezeption, und eine junge Dame, die es nicht mehr schafft zu frühstücken, gibt mir ihren. Vier Espressos später machen wir uns alle auf den Weg zu einem Aussichtspunkt, etwas südlich von Bologna. Hier können wir die Stadt überblicken und genießen die Ruhe, dabei können wir zusehen, wie die Flugzeuge in Bologna starten und landen. Jetzt geht es schon wieder zurück, mit dem Zug und dem Bus nach Serramazzoni, wo Alison, unsere Gastgeberin, uns abholt. Schon sind wir wieder zwischen Hühnern, Hunden und Katzen, und morgen geht es für mich zu den Bienen! Seid gespannt.

🇬🇧 Bologna
On the weekend, our helpers have time off, so we decided to leave the farm and explore Bologna. We take a bus for an hour to Modena to catch a train from there. When we arrive in Bologna, we have breakfast first and then explore the city. Among other things, we see the Towers of Bologna, the main square “Piazza Maggiore,” and the Reno Canal. At the hostel, we rest and freshen up for dinner. We slowly head out and spontaneously get an Aperol Spritz. After that, we enjoy authentic Italian pasta, and on the way back, we get some gelato. The two girls get ready to go out partying, while I stay at the hostel and soon fall asleep. The next morning, I go to the reception to buy a breakfast voucher for the buffet. However, there was no one at the reception, and a young lady who couldn’t make it to breakfast gives me hers. Four espressos later, we all head to a viewpoint, a bit south of Bologna. Here we can overlook the city and enjoy the peace while watching the planes take off and land in Bologna. Now it’s already time to head back, taking the train and bus to Serramazzoni, where Alison, our host, picks us up. We’re back among chickens, dogs, and cats, and tomorrow I’m off to the bees!
