Our next ferry leaves Ullapool and sails to Stornoway, Isle of Lewis.
Almost no charging points and those existing are out of order... The first time that I'm getting nervous about charging....

At the Shawbost Norse Mill and Kiln you see a lot of warning signs, buckets, fire blankets etc. The danger of losing these great preserved and with love restored buildings is great as they'reもっと詳しく

This Whale Bone Arch shows two bones of the lower jaw of a Blue Whale and were removed from a beached Whale that came ashore in 1920. I cannot believe how big they are 😳😳😳

Sand Dunes

Not only that Eoropie Beach is an endless sandy beach. It has sand dunes so high, it reminded me of my trip to Wahiba Sands Desert in Oman. Just incredible.

In Port Ness, where Gaelic is still the main language, fishermen get shelter by two very long piers and slipways. A great effort to protect their boats from the rough Atlantic.
White Shells

This white shell beach, Port Stoth (pronounced Stow) with an old port and a lone brick building on top of the cliffs is one of my favourite spots so far in Lewis. I love the minimalism feel.
