    Nach einer Angewöhnungsnacht freuten wir uns aufs Frühstücks-Buffet. Das war wirklich reichhaltig. So liessen wir uns Zeit und futterten uns durch. Um 11.00 uhr fanden wir ein Postshop um unsere Auto- Nummern zum Stva zurückzuschicken. Für stolze 39 € gingen sie auf die Reise.
    Danach spazierten wir die Fussgänger-Zone hinauf und hinunter mit Besuchen von diversen Geschäften.
    Da unser Hotel gleich hinter dem Bahnhof lag, konnten wir uns kurz ein Päuschen gönnen. Da wir um 18.00 uhr noch keinem Hunger hatten, kauften wir im Edeka kurz ein und machten Pick-Nick im Hotelzimmer. Dort liessen wir den Abend gemütlich ausklingen    Okumaya devam et

    Soltau-Hamburg Hafen

    Die letzten 60km bis zum Hamburger Hafen waren zäh. Je näher die Stadt kam, je mehr Verkehr. Besonders die LKW Dichte war spürbar höher. Komisch😆Nach etwas Baustellen Slalom und neu Wege suchen hatten wir es geschafft. Wir standen vor der Spedition. Dann anmelden neben gefühlten 100 LKW Chauffeuren mit Ticket ziehen, ausgehändigt bekommen des Einfahrtsplans und Ticker, der zur Einfahrt auffordert. Dann wieder zum Camper zurück und Umräumen und letzter Check, was alles mit muss. 🥵 inkl Autonummer wechseln.
    Dann um 13.30 uhr ging der Surrli los. Jetzt musste ich mit Leuchtweste bewaffnet alleine ins Hafengelände rein und zum definierten Parkplatz fahren. Nach und nach kamen mehr Camper gefahren mit dem gleichen Ziel.
    Die gelben Männlein im Hafen kontrollierten nun alles um und im Camper. Es gab keine Beanstandungen und somit konnte ich die Kabine abschliessen. Nach rund einer Stunde wurden wir alle mit einem Shuttle zum Ausgang gebracht. Nach 10min sassen wir schon im Taxi zum Hotel Vienna beim Hauptbahnhof. Um 17.00 uhr spazierten wir in die Stadt bis zu einer netten Pizzeria . In einem Kaffee genossen wir den Abendkafi. Da wir noch genügend Gelegenheiten für Erkundungstouren hatten, beschlossen wir die Aktivitäten für heute als beendet.    Okumaya devam et

    Great Premier Balcony cabin all inclusive drinks package. Great show last night, The 🎪 Circus, it was electric, jugglers, spinning lady by her hair, acrobatic skaters and clowns on trampoline fast and furious, really enjoyed it.     HEUTE HABEN WIR BESCHLOSSEN DIE GANZE TOUR MIT DEM BUS ZU MACHEN. DAZU HABEN WIR AUCH EINE HAFENRUNDFAHRT GEMACHT. TATSÄCHLICH WIR DIES SPANNEND, WIR HABEN VIEL GESEHEN UND ERFAHREN. DAS Containerschiff Singapur, das soeben entladen wurde kann 24000 Container transportieren.Das Schiff ist 400 m lang und hat einen Bremsweg von 8 Km bei Vollstopp. WENIGSTENS LÄUFT DIESES SCHIFF MIT Gasantrieb und ist deshalb einogermassen umweltfreundlich. Auch die Busfahrt durch dei exklusiven Vororte von Hamburg war schön. Zum Schluss haben wir im Gasthaus an der Alster gegessen. EINE WIRKLICH ORIGINELLE KNEIPE
    MIT NORDDEUTSCHER HAUSMANNSKOST. WAR EIGENTLICH VOLL, WIR HABEN MIT GLÜCK NOCH EIN TISCHCHEN BEKOMMEN. ESSEN HAT AZSGEZEICHNT GESCHMECKT UND WAR RECHT GÜNSTIG. 89.20 Euro für 2 Personen ist verkraftbar.    Okumaya devam et

    Fahrzeugabgabe im Hafen

    Wir haben uns entschlossen, die letzte Nacht auf demselben Campingplatz zu verbringen. Am Donnerstag haben wir nun Zeit um unser Womi zu putzen und alles was für die letzte Nacht nicht mehr benötigt wird seefest zu verstauen. Nach einem nebligen Freitag-Morgen machen wir das Fahrzeug abgabebereit.
    Alles was schmutzig werden kann wird abgedeckt. Dann gehts los Richtung Hafen. Dann im Hafen das grosse Warten.
    Nach zwei Stunden können wir dann endlich ins Hafengelände einfahren und das Fahrzeug abgeben. Dann mit U er ins Hotel.    Okumaya devam et

    Hamburg… eventually!

    Leaving the house in a bit if a panic as I wanted to catch the 8am bus to Hamburg for the day and realised I had no way of knowing how to pay for the trams or buses (no English and archaic systems - no contactless pay to zap on and off) so it was Uber. Well, ‘computer says no’ moment. No cars available 🙄 Thankfully Clara was still home so I ran in and got her to call me one. Arne had left earlier for a mtg in another town. Get to terminal - go to buy ticket - closed! Now I was archaic because I’m sure I could have got one online there and then (I’ve just purchased one now, for Prague). Anyway, I thought - train! Shot over there - tried to keep warm in shops etc until I could get on the train set to leave at 9.30. We sat there for an age and then they said we’d go at 10.30. A guy across the way said this was good - it could be a lot worse. At 11 they said get off! There’s a bus out front. Well the swarm two’s and froe’s around different places with no buses to be seen anywhere and there were way too many people for probably two buses. I decided to head back to Flixbus but went for train refund first - oh you have to apply, fill forms out and wait 4 wks! Took the forms and scarpered. I was just in time for the bus. However- the woman on the desk said she couldn’t give me one because I wasn’t 20 mins early. It sat there, I had no luggage. It wasn’t going yet. Again though - I’m embarrassed now that I didn’t think to buy online. Have no idea why! Anyway - back to train as I knew there was another due at 1.30. Finally - Yes!! So we set off. We stop at a few towns but I did not know that there is a Harburg as well as a Hamburg. I hear the announcement in thick German and of course jump off. And you guessed it - at Harburg! I don’t realise till I get outside and start to map out my first destination and think - that’s not right! Where am I? Look up …. mmmm. Luckily there was another train up on the board but you have to watch like an Eagle. They changed the platform to the other side of the tracks literally in the last two minutes. In this case, I was helping the local! She was confused. We dashed to the other side in the Nick of time.
    Finally I get to Hamburg and raced about … on foot again and got to see the things on my list. I’ll only put a couple of my many photos of Miniature Wunderland up. Something that from quite young, I’ve thought I’d love to see that was so special.    Okumaya devam et

    Abreise mit Komplikationen

    Hello helloo!🏵

    Pünktlich um 3:40 Uhr verließen wir das Haus und starteten um 4:17 Uhr mit dem ersten Zug nach Oslo zurück. Wir mussten 75min warten und deswegen wurde in der Zwischenzeit gefrühstückt. Danach ging ersteinmal alles glatt und wir starteten in Richtung Göteborg. Die ersten 2h wurde geschlafen (zumindest versucht). Auf einmal blieben wir mitten in der Pampa stehen und es ging nicht mehr weiter. "Technical problems" 😃. Kurze Rede, langer Sinn: mit 1.5h Verspätung kamen wir in Göteborg an und haben unseren Anschlusszug verpasst. Die Sitzplatzreservierung von Hamburg nach München haben wir natürlich schon gebucht, jedoch gab es keine Verbindung mehr, die uns pünktlich nach Hamburg brachte. Die einzige sinnvolle Fahrt nach Hause wäre 10h später am Abend von Malmö aus gegangen. Da wir aber ziemlich demotiviert waren, wollten wir nicht länger in Göteborg bleiben und fuhren direkt nach Malmö. Zu unserem Glück wie sich später herausstellte. Wir fanden einen Flixbus, mit dem wir pünktlich zu unserem Zug in Hamburg ankommen würden. Da wir keine bessere Idee hatten, buchten wir einfach. Wir saßen ganz vorne oben im Bus und hatten Panoramablick auf Kopenhagen! Ums Fähre durften wir auch wieder fahren. Diesmal bei perfektem Wetter und Sonnenuntergang🤗. Glücklicherweise kamen wir ohne weitere Verzögerungen pünktlich in Hamburg an. Den ganzen Müll auf den Straßen sind wir gar nicht mehr gewöhnt vom Norden 🙈. Nun sind wir im ICE in Richtung München, wo wir morgen um ca. 6 Uhr ankommen werden. Zum Glück haben und zwei Deutsche ihr Ladekabel geborgt, denn unseres hat endgültig den Geist aufgegeben.

    Hamburg: Showday Inselpark Arena

    Here’s the translation to English:

    Today is show day. First, a quick walk through the neighborhood in search of a good cup of coffee.

    I quickly packed everything up and took a taxi to the venue. I have three tasks today: helping with the merch using the SumUp, preparing the shields and spears, and making Gollum Juice (a mix of ginger, lime, thyme, and honey that needs to steep all day for our throats during the show).

    At 1 PM, our warrior training started. I felt so distracted, and it showed. After more than a year without shows, I really needed to get back into it. I also tried Tennet for the first time, which we’re performing tonight.

    Fortunately, I got through it with some forgivable mistakes, but I did feel a bit uncertain.

    After the training, I had a good meal, braided my hair, changed clothes, and applied makeup.

    OH MY GOD, the heat! No one in the band has ever sweated so much on stage. It was so extremely hot that we were afraid we might faint. Even during the show, we had to run to the dressing rooms to reapply makeup.

    It was another good show, with some unique mistakes like a broken spear and forgotten elements, but oh well. On to Berlin!    Okumaya devam et

    Miniature Wunderland - I’m in love 😍

    You know I’m going to give you ten out of ten! Ok, if I’m ever missing… this is where to find me. Holy crap this place exceeded my expectations and hit all the right nerd buttons. Planes, trains, models, detail, - real life world in miniature. Honey, shrink me already - stuff the kids. They have day/night cycles, heaps of buttons to press to activate more actions, an airline flight schedule and even real water that has its own tide! Wow, I’m in love! When they said they are open till 1am, I thought who is going at 1am! After arriving at 10pm, I left at 12:30am.

    I’m not going to write much about this place as the photos and videos say so much more (this post is less than 10% of the photos taken). There was a job add and I seriously considered moving to Hamburg and living out my days here driving planes and trains. Although Hamburg gave me a poor first impression (lost bag even though not Hamburg’s fault), I will definitely be returning here in the future to spend more time looking at all the detail and amazement of this great miniature Wunderland! 🤩😍🤩    Okumaya devam et

    Cruising in Hamburg ⛴️

    No not like that, get your mind out of the gutter, I’m on a boat. The only way to get skip the line tickets to the Miniature Wunderland was to buy a combo ticket with a pre entry cruise. My cruise was for 8:30pm with it advertised as “we have ordered lots of boats, just turn up and go at your time. No waiting.” Alas the tide was high and only a few boats fit under the smaller bridges to get to the dock.

    The crowd now waiting was sorted (in German) between those who can walk 10mins to get to the bigger boat at a different dock and those that can’t. English speakers were classified as those who couldn’t walk. “It’s easier” they say.

    We head onto the boat, similar to the canal boats in Amsterdam. I grab a seat inside by the window then immediately feel the rock and remember getting sea sick on one of these in Amsterdam so move to the small outside section. I grab a centre seat at the back, basically sitting on the engine which makes the seat nice and warm.

    We head out along the old canal area and out into the harbour. I’m not much of a boat lover but with the sun already set the sky is a beautiful colour and the lights on the buildings along the shore is pretty. All the commentary is in German but I understand what to look at (or at least the direction) when the rest of the boat suddenly turn and look to each side. We pass one boat called ‘VB Perfect’ which makes me think of the beer which is anything but perfect.

    Soon we’re in the port of Hamburg getting really close to some massive container ships. I know plane spotters and train spotters, but what’s a ship spotter called? Turns out there are a lot of them on this cruise as heaps of people were snapping photos like crazy of the big ship. Before I realised I was in with them taking heaps of pictures… why? I don’t really care for container ships.

    We went through a lock (not sure of the purpose given the other side was connected to the same bit of water we were just in and then looped around through some dry docks to where we started. By this time it was dark and the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg was the star of the show getting lots of pics from everyone.

    Even though I generally don’t like a boat cruise, this was pretty alright. Bonus I didn’t throw up or get overly nauseous! Next stop, Wunderland!    Okumaya devam et
