Cahills Crossing

The last spot before we are leaving the national park is cahills crossing at the East Alligator River. Actually it is just a road going through the river, so nothing spectacular. But this spot becomes a all you can eat seafood restaurant for the crocs during high tide. The crocs just need to wait for the fish coming over the street with the water. It is amazing to see, we found up to 12 crocs having a good lunch.

Der letzte Stop im Kakadu Nationalpark bevor es für uns weiter Richtung Darwin geht war Cahills Crossing. Eigentlich ist es nur eine Straße die durch den East Alligator River führt und an sich nichts besonderes. Doch obwohl wir noch weit Weg vom Meer sind spielen hier Ebbe und Flut eine große Rolle. Sobald die Flut eingesetzt hat und das Wasser mit den Fischen über die Straße schießt versammeln sich die Krokodile zum all you can eat Mittagessen. Wir haben bis zu 12 Krokodile gezählt, doch wahrscheinlich waren es deutlich mehr.

Die Videoqualität ist leider echt schlecht, aber ohne Kamera geht es zurzeit leider nicht besser.En savoir plus
