Ljubljana to Trieste. What a day!

The two videos start and end this long day… the double decker bus was a new experience especially with our top floor 2nd row seats. The driver was fast and had us holding our breath a few times. But we made it to Trieste and are retiring early. Slightly out of order the photos show scenes of our day including our 30 minute walk to bus station this morning which was so sweet. We got to walk with the locals, watch the bicycle riding routines and witness a man carrying toilet paper from the store stop to talk with a friend. There was a woman walking her bike with pumpkins and then the interesting drama at the bus station. Again at every turn something unexpected happened and navigating with people who don’t speak English is rather fun. Trieste is filled with people who have come for a big event so I’m glad we are leaving tomorrow but enjoyed discovering our very Italian hotel room which I shared a video of here. I am meeting people everyday that are not like anyone I’ve ever met before and I find that exhilarating. We ate fabulous food for lunch and I found a bodega with fresh homemade food we brought back and ate in our room. Stand by for more adventures. Tomorrow will be another beautiful day. Chow!Read more
