Un peu plus loin, le parc volcanique Onioshidashi vaut vraiment le détour, c'est ce que j'ai préféré dans cette journée.

Je ne connaissais pas du tout, mais une fois sur place, on est vraiment entouré de roches volcaniques et on se sent minuscule. Il s'agit en fait de roches volcaniques issues de l'éruption du mont Asama, en 1783 🌋

Plusieurs itinéraires de marches sont possibles, nous avons choisi celui qui menait au sanctuaire Shinto, situé au centre. La vue depuis celui-ci est incroyable, c'était vraiment une chance d'en profiter par un si beau temps !

Aux alentours de 15h nous sommes arrivés à Karuizawa. Avant de reprendre la route pour Kusatsu Onsen, nous avons déjeuné dans un super restaurant de soba au canard 🥩

Nous avons ensuite visité la ville pendant une petite heure. Je vous laisse d'ailleurs lire le nom du café que nous avons trouvé dans la Church street, juste en face d'une église Catholique 😅

A bit farther, Onioshidashi volcanic park is really worth seeing, it's what I enjoyed most on that day.

I didn't know anything about this place. When you put foot on this site, you really feel small, compared to the volcanic stones all arround. These stones actually come from the volcanic eruption of Mt. Asama in 1783 🌋

Several walking routes are possible, we chose the one leading to a Shinto shrine, located at the center of the site. The view from the shrine is amazing, we were really lucky to be there by such a good weather !

Arround 3PM we arrived at Karuizawa. Before heading to Kusatsu Onsen, we had lunch in a really good duck soba restaurant 🥩

We then explored the town for about an hour. Have a look at the cafe we found in Church street, just on the opposing side of a church. In french "cafe du diable" means "devil's cafe" 😅
