Going south with the wind us perhaps not the best idea but it did mean we missed out on the heavy showers that were falling as the clouds were coming in from the north and dropping their load as the go over the mountains. The lava fields are rather fascinating to cycle through especially for the tourists who lost control and planted their car on top if it!
