Pearl Harbor and Diamond Head

One of the places we visited was the USS Arizona Memorial and other WWII sites around Pearl Harbor. Naturally, I had my Rosie the Riveter water bottle with me!

The next day, we went to Diamond Head, where I met up with a friend from Oakland who was also visiting Honolulu. I didn't climb to the summit, but they all did. However, I did walk up to the caldera from the road below and got a great shot of a couple taking a photo looking out over the channel that separates Oahu from Molokai.

On my way back to the hostel, I stopped at a Zippy's for lunch, and on my evening walk spotted this great cut out of Elvis outside a pizza bar near the hostel.Read more
