Michel again popped up out of nowhere, we apparently had our economic exam on today so the conversation was all about how superannuation worked in Australia (Spain apparently sees us as an example when it comes to relieving the generational tax burden of an ageing population) etc.

His perspectives on Spain as an entity and in relation to the EU and international community were quite interesting. He's almost as big into history as JC and brings a Spanish lens to the Camino I've been keen on understanding. We spoke about the impact of it - on infrastructure, on the economy, on communities, with particular focus on this last 100km - and whether it's helping or hurting.
