Rested and ready

While packet ramen for dinner last night was a bit eh, it certainly set the scene for breakfast. There were clams in the miso soup, I repeat clams in the miso soup. We'd planned to catch the train from Kata to Atashika at 9.25am, so prepared to leave at 9 for the kilometre walk to the station but the lovely manager said he'd give us a lift! Ryokan are about hospitality as much as anything and we have been so lucky with this gem in the middle of such quiet surrounds.
