• Cape Cod is beautiful, but difficult on a bike 😒

    June 3 in the United States ⋅ 🌙 68 °F

I had no issues with sleeping at Keystone HD last night and was up and gone before 0430.

My goal today was to get to the Massachusetts State Capitol building in Boston, but with numerous other stops before that. At the end of the day, today was definitely a success, but at a cost.

After squiggling through Rhode Island, I made my way down the coast through Cape Cod. It is so pretty there, but being on a bike is hell. I spent over 3 hours moving but never getting out of third gear 😭.

Even after I got out of Cape Cod, I was still in horrendous traffic for several more hours as I collected pics around the South Boston area. Oomph. It was difficult, tedious, and exhausting.

The aftermath of all of that is my left clutch hand is swollen and stiff and painful. I've taken a couple of naproxen to help overnight, which usually does the trick. It'll be fine 👍.

I stopped early because I am so exhausted that I'm doing silly things. Taking a picture of my gas receipt with my odometer, then leaving the receipt taped to the fairing 🤦. Getting the case for my ear plugs out and wondering why it was empty (they're still in my ears) 🤦. Clear indications I'm tired and need to stop.

I have about 1300 miles to roll in the next two days. Wish me luck!

Hope to see you on the road! Remember, NO WHINING! ✌️
