• PORCUPINE BUTT!!! 🤣

    June 4 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 64 °F

I was up and gone by 0430 again. A couple of bikes came into the parking lot after I set up camp, but they didn't bother me 👍.

It's a good thing I stopped at the HD last night, though, because I forgot the road to Mt Greylock is a state park and gated at night. That would've really sucked to have gotten there then had to wait for it to open.

If you ride one road in Massachusetts, it must be MA-2 with a jaunt up to the veterans memorial on Mt Greylock. MA-2 runs pretty much all the way from New York State to Boston and is well-paved with sweeping curves, not technical, great for groups. Mt Greylock is a bit more technical, but it's usually slow going with hikers in the road, so it's still great for every skill level. Definitely put them on your list to ride!! (It's HOG's 50 Rides, too.)

PORCUPINE BUTT! Going up Mt Greylock, I saw a small porcupine waddling his big ol' prickly butt into the bushes 🤣. I don't remember ever seeing a porcupine in the wild before this. His waddle gave me a case of the giggles, like laughing to tears, and all day, whenever I was frustrated with traffic or whatever, I would just scream "PORCUPINE BUTT" as loud as I could, then laugh. It helped 🤣🤣🤣.

After those first 4 hours, then a cut through New York, the rest of the day was in Pennsylvania collecting pics. Nothing significant to report (NSTR, iykyk).

Oh yeah. Michael [the bike] dropped another part off somewhere, the passenger speaker cover. I think he's trying to leave a trail so someone will come rescue him 🤣🤣🤣.

Hope to see you on the road! Remember, NO WHINING! ✌️
