Smoke on the Water...actually, everywhere

I rolled in only 15 minutes this morning without really trying 👍. I love my new pack layout. I got cold in the night, and just opened my saddlebag next to me and pulled out my sleeping bag. Sweet as!!

My second stop was a Ride To Eat restaurant that was actually open, so I popped in and had a bite and coffee. Great start.

Not long after getting going, I could see a bit of haze and smell just a touch of smoke. I figured there must be a fire quite aways off. I was right, but unfortunately, I got closer to them as the day progressed. Like, ashes falling on me close 😳.

I breathed through my gaiter and nose most of the day, but I can still feel my scratchy throat and closed sinuses 😞. I considered hoteling it tonight just to get out of the smoke, but it's literally everywhere. Oh well. I'll live 🤣.

Really good day other than the smoke. Only one car tried to kill me, and I barely saw any semis 👏👏👏.

I'm camped at Apol's HD and I have again bathed in mozzie spray. I found some of the 98% DEET today, so yay!! There are a couple in my tent, but they'll starve tonight 🤣.
