Route 66 West Days 3 & 4

Three of us left a cloudy Gallup at 0800 Friday morning and almost immediately ran into rain again 😔. Fortunately, it wasn't too bad, and we popped out of it fairly quickly.

Our first stop was in Holbrook to see the Wigwam Hotel (too cute!) and take a pic at the drive-through sign 👍. Then we swung by the "Here It Is" rabbit sign 🤣. And of course, when on Route 66, a visit to Glenn Frey on the corner in Winslow Arizona is a must 🧡. We stopped at one of the old bridges, then had lunch at 2 Bar 3 nearby, which was a really cool place with live music and a huge outdoor venue. But not while we were there, unfortunately 🤪.

I split off from the guys after lunch because they were headed into Flagstaff with the rest of the rally riders. We don't have a rally dinner tonight, so my friends invited me to their home in Lake Havasu instead.

There were 6 of us total, and we had a great time Friday evening and most of Saturday just hanging out and talking, the boys in the mancave and the girls in the backyard. There may have been some adult beverages and a swimming pool jacuzzi involved 🤪.

Around 1500 Saturday, we drove about an hour to Kingman for the rally dinner. Again, we had a really nice time. One of the guys won a pair of Paul's Socks (inside joke), but there was no way he was going to fit his big ol' clogs in them, so I guess his wife has a new pair now 🤣.

After bbq brisket, we drove back home and called it an early night as we're leaving before 0800 tomorrow morning.
