Salina Cruz Oct. 20th-22nd

After a few raining days in Barra de La Cruz and some surfing we headed to Salina Cruz. Along the way we stopped at Playa Bamba. There was a point break but it was very windy and would be for a few days. So we continued south to Salina Cruz. NIk had stayed there with a family previously and we opted to stay in the dorm room. The room had a/c but was pretty basic. To surf Salina you have to pay a "guide", some local rule they have there. The guy doesn't even surf with you, he just accompanies you to the beach. The waves were small and windy at Punta Conejo. We also didn't want to pay some jackass to surf so we just stayed one night. Other than the bad waves the area was beautiful and made some good photos. Unfortunately, three days after we left a oil spill at the port nearby covered the beaches around Salina Cruz. We were off to San Cristobol next with a stop in Tonala as a mid way point.Читать далее
