    Greenwall Shelter 1675.3

    August 11, 2017 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C

At night we were surprised by a thunderstorm moving next to us. We barely got hit by the rain but there was still water in the tent. We really need to get this fixed otherwise we can only stay in the shelters...
Nevertheless we had a gorgeous view in the morning over the valleys surrounding us. The hike was more challenging than we were used to from the previous days as it was more steep. But we kept a pretty good pace and were later rewarded with a nice view over the pond. At the Shelter (which was 0.3 off the trail!!) we met "Parks" and "Drop bear", thru hikers from 2015 that are making the Long Trail. They are having a hikers meeting from the tramily back then afterwards in Maine.
