Maria Island

I had to get going early to catch the ferry to "Maria Island". The hole Island is a NP.
Once there I started off to climb "Bishop and Clerk". An amazing towering Cliff right out of the Ocean.
I set up camp near the "French farm" on the southern side of the Island. Hoping to see an "Tasmanian Devil", but I found lots of Wombarts instead!

Ganz früh am Morgen, konnte ich noch die Fähre nach "Maria Island" erwischen. Die ganze Insel ist ein NP.
Dort angekommen habe ich gleich mal "Bishop and Clerk" erklommen. Die Dolomit Gestein Klippe, steht senkrecht aus dem Meer!
Die Nacht habe ich im südlichen Teil der Insel verbracht. Dort habe ich gehofft, einen Tasmanischen Teufel zu finden, jedoch gab es stattdessen "nur" eine Nacht mit sehr vielen Wombats. Bei heftigem Regen ging es dann am nächsten Morgen zurück.Read more
