    Geiranger, Norway

    July 1, 2018 in Norway ⋅ ☀️ 72 °F

We docked in the tiny, charming village of Geiranger. Our tour this afternoon took us to the summit of Mount Dalsnibba which gave us a spectacular view of Geirangerfjord. Our bus climbed 5000 feet on the narrow, winding road offering amazing views of lakes and glaciers. Geirangerfjord is surrounded by the steepest and most unusual mountains on the entire west coast of Norway.
We then drove along the Eagle Road, which was also narrow with hair pin turns, to view the Seven Sisters Waterfalls and the majestic mountains.
This was a day filled with excitement and breath taking views.

    Geiranger Fjord

    May 16, 2016 in Norway ⋅ ⛅ 10 °C

Since we went to Geiranger by car, we decided to take a ferry cruise from Geiranger to Hellesylt and back to get a full Fjord experience. I really wanted to see the landscape from the water. On the first half of the drive, I listened to the tourist program and took pictures, which I could not stop doing. I was SO excited!

In Hellesylt we went off board to look for the giant Hellesyltfossen. We found it, but didn't stay long to be sure to catch the ferry back.

On the second half of the trip I did the opposite. I sat down in silence, with my favorite music in my ears, just taking it all in. It was amazing. I'm really glad we did this, even though it was quite pricey. But when you're there, you have to enjoy it to the fullest, right?! :)
Who knows if - or when - we'll be back?

    May 21 in Norway ⋅ ⛅ 21 °C

Read more
