The start of our summer European adventure and boy was it needed after catching up with so many people over the last month!

We booked what was advertised on booking.com as a 5* resort…it was more like 3* but that didn’t matter, it was on the beach, we had a room with a view and we were there to do nothing and catch some much needed sunshine after 10 weeks away from Aus. 10 weeks! Can you believe it!

There was some extremely good people watching as we quickly realised we were 10 mins from Albufeira New Town, aka ‘The Strip’. Very entertaining indeed…let’s just say there was an abundance of sleeve tattoos and blue hair and no one got out of bed before lunch time!

Next stop… Lisbon. We got the bus which was an easy 3 hour journey (would have been easier if I didn’t insist the bus went from a campsite in town, only to discover 2 mins before it left that it was from the bus station… who’d have thought?!)Read more
