"Houston wir haben ein Problem" ist Funkspruch, der uns wohl allen bekannt ist. Zugleich ist er auch ein Sinnbild für den Grund, warum ich nach Houston wollte: die NASA. Im Space Center lässt sich die Geschichte und Gegenwart der Raumfahrt mitverfolgen, man hat die Gelegenheit den Campus zu erkunden und den Astronauten-Trainingsbereich zu sehen. Man kann sogar den Raum zu erleben aus dem die erste Mondlandung mit der Apollo 11 - Mission koordiniert wurde. Heute kann man da mit Videos den Moment der Landung nochmals miterleben. Und wenn man da noch nicht überzeugt ist, so ist man es spätestens, wenn man die riesigen Raketen sieht. Das zieht auch die am wenigsten raumfahrtsinteressierten Personen in ihren Bann.
