Der Abend in Sofia gestaltet sich angenehm, wenn auch überraschend. Unsere Unterkunft wirbt mit Aussicht, während gleichzeitig klar vermerkt ist, dass das Zimmer zum Innenhof zeigt. Wie das zusammenpasst, finden wir vor Ort heraus: An der Wand des Mini-Innenhofs hängt ein etwas lieblos befestigtes Plakat mit den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt. Aussicht vorhanden.
Das Essen und das Bier sind dafür sehr gut - Sofia rehabilitiert sich also kulinarisch problemlos.
Den Vormittag verbringen wir mit Sightseeing und erleben bei der Rückkehr zum Auto die nächste Überraschung: Eine Kralle wurde am Rad befestigt. Offenbar hatten wir die Parkzeit überschritten. Aber auch hier hilft die Polizei gerne weiter - natürlich erst, nachdem die Busse bezahlt ist.

The evening in Sofia turns out to be pleasant, if somewhat surprising. Our accommodation advertises a view, whilst at the same time clearly stating that the room faces the inner courtyard. We find out how this fits together once we arrive: on the wall of the tiny inner courtyard hangs a poster, rather haphazardly attached, featuring the city’s sights. View secured.
The food and beer, on the other hand, are very good - so Sofia easily redeems itself on the culinary front.
We spend the morning sightseeing and, on returning to the car, encounter the next surprise: a wheel clamp has been fitted to the wheel. Apparently, we’d exceeded the parking time. But here too, the police are happy to help - once the fine has been paid, of course.Read more
