He insisted we follow him so he could give us a stamp in our pilgrim passports and so he could point at this and that and ramble on in Portuguese, as if we had a clue! 🤣 Really sweet man! So when we went to check-in at the Barcelos Albergue they had no more beds, unless there were no-shows later in the day. They did offer us mattresses on the floor of an attic alcove with no window….Les mer

ReisendeYes, there really isn’t much around so to have food provided is a bonus! Plus this place has a washer AND dryer (a first so far) and the shower is amazing! I’ll try to get a pic!

ReisendeIt is SO nice when you are walking along… hot and thirsty and you see this oasis of ice cold water. I mean, they make money! It’s not free, but worth a few euros!
ReisendeLots more pilgrims to meet…I’m just stuck on all the history represented along the way…bridges, doors, roads, buildings, etc. Very “old world”❣️
