It's a downhill walk of about half a mile to the tree. So many beautiful trees! The big stone pattern is the footprint of the Sherman Tree. It is the biggest tree in the world!

We really liked the twin trees! Because of the burn damage at the bottom you could touch wood at the center of the tree. What we realized is that we were touching wood at least 1000 years old!

Wow - the lake is gorgeous! It sits at 9,850 feet but given that we had to hike down to it, we're pretty sure we crossed 10,000 feet!
