    Cuidad de Itas

    October 18, 2017 in Bolivia ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

Cuidad de Itas in the Ghurini language means the city of the rocks. Its a place high up in the mountains made of natural rock formations. It was used by robbers to snatch bulls and cattle and hide them there. They used to multiply them there and butcher the older ones for bartering of goods with the villagers around the area.
The tour normally is combined with the Umajalanta cave tour that happens to be in the same direction. They can take max 6 people in a group.
We reached the tourist office by 7:30 am and started waiting for other people to show up so that we could divide the costs of the tour.
We waited more than 1.5 hrs. 3 groups of people came that were interested in the same tours, but all had formed their groups from before so nome of the them joined us nor could we join them.
In the end, around 9:15 am, we decided to do the tour on our own since no more people were expected to come and it was our last day in Toro Toro.
The tour cost a total of 576 b$ for the 2 of us.
