    Badlands topography

    At the top, the plateau had typical badlands topography. This is generally deposits of very fine clay collected at the bottom of a river from many million years ago. The river dries or changes course, the river base is uplifted but the finely packed clay remains. Nothing can grow in this soil so it is called badland.Read more
