• Off to Puñihuil

    31. desember 2017, Chile ⋅ ☀️ 29 °C

Around 1:30 pm we walked back to the cabaña, picked up our car and drove towards Puñihuil. This is a small village outpost where Megallen and Humboldt penguins have small colonies on the rocks. It was nice sunny day and the island was lush with green vegetation on both sides of the road. There were a number of intense yellow flowers of the gorse shrub which was brought by the German, English and other European settlers to the mainland for their fencing needs.Les mer
