    Tepa and Maneo trees

    Deeper in the forest, we came across a small species of fern called the Toad's Umbrella or Paragua del Sapito.
    In the forest, every now amd then we would get a strong almost eucalyptus like smell. This, Igor told us was the smell from the leaves of the sacred Tepa trees.
    Another sacred tree is the Maneo. This too is a tall tree with wide spread branches.
