We walked along the coastal road to where the Restaurant Tia Sonja was at the opposite end of the town. It was a lovely walk with beautiful views of the Pacific.
Hanga Vare Vare

Just opposite the restaurant is an archeological site and the Hanga Vare Vare beach. After lunch we walked around the archeological site and saw some really interesting old sculptures on lava rock.

Around the area, there were quite a few lava sculptures scattered all over near the coast. These had some weird shapes and figures. I had never heard of them before.
Walk towards the harbor

Walk to the West Corner of the Island

It was a pretty cool cave to walk inside. There were quite many chambers and we also saw some exits on the way. There was no light deep inside, so we had to use our cellphone flash lights as torches.

At around 1 pm, after walking inside the cave for more than an hour, we existed the cave in the middle of lava fields through a tiny hole in the roof of the cave. It was a fantastic experience.
