    Galapagos - dia V

    May 9, 2017 in Ecuador ⋅ ☀️ 37 °C

This day lead us to the North Seymour island. An island with an incredible variety of bird species. We had the chance to see different animals like the Galapagos finches, bird wizards, iguanas and also the breeding nests of sea turtles on the beach. The island is especially famous for its amount of the blue-footed boobies. As it was breeding season it was funny to observe the males dancing to impress the females. Some of the female even already had their (1-3) eggs and were protecing them from other birds or the iguanas. After a hike around the island we went snorkeling. We saw many different colorful fish, big sea turtles, manta rays and even discovered some baby hammersharks. An incredible place to see animals in their natural environment.
In the evening we went to the pier again, found some sea lions close by the water and went for dinner afterwards to end our trip on the Galapagos. It was a great nature spectacle on those islands.
