Wir waren ein wenig Blauäugig 🙈 Bob ging natürlich nicht an. Nunja, also wieder bei der HUK angerufen und diesmal kam ein Abschleppdienst. Dem haben wir unser Problem geschildert, er sagte es liegt nicht am starter, sondern an der Batterie. Er hat uns Starthilfe gegeben und zu einer Werkstatt geschickt. Die war leider überfüllt und haben uns weiter zu einem Batterie Händler geschickt. Wir hatten Glück das direkt daneben eine kleine Werkstatt war die die Batterie auch direkt für uns eingebaut hat. Wir haben für alles 135£ bezahlt und knapp 2 Tage verloren...aber Bob läuft wieder wie neu ♡ (:Read more

Dashed into Exeter to pick up a data sim so we can navigate. We were just 5 minutes from the famous Exeter cathedral so we took a short walk through this historic area. Ate lunch at "Proper Burger" which it was. We were both too busy and terrified to take time to photograph the traffic. What's wrong with these folks? Still driving on the wrong side of the street.Read more

1) Die Menschen sind alle extrem freundlich - ich habe Engländer schon immer gemocht und jetzt erst recht!
2) Ich nehme (fast) alles über Essen in England zurück, was ich je behauptet habe.
3) Pub Essen kann man dauerhaft nur, wenn man tagsüber 2 Millionen Kalorien verbraucht. Mindestens.
4) Englisches Pale Ale oder Stout sind hervorragend an einem Abend nach dem Wandern.
5) Gehe nicht nach England, falls du eine Hundephobie hast.
6) Wenn es nicht so peinlich wäre... gehe immer mit Gummistiefeln wandern.
7) Sei darauf vorbereitet, dass ÜBERALL Ingwer enthalten sein kann.
8) Wenn dir das Wetter missfällt, beschwer dich nicht. Bereite dich besser darauf vor oder warte 5 Minuten.
9) Sobald du dich daran gewöhnt hast, beim Überqueren der Straße nach rechts zu sehen, lerne rechtzeitig dass man auf der anderen Seiten nach links sehen muss.

Exeter Cathedral Dates back 900 years, it is one of England's most beautiful medieval cathedrals and one of the finest examples of decorated Gothic architecture in the UK. It is most famous for its two Norman towers, impressive west front carvings and the longest unbroken stretch of Gothic vaulting in the world. Of note are the Minstrels' Gallery, the 15 Century Astronomical Clock, a complete set of Misericords and the highly decorated tombs, bosses and corbels. The library contains the famous 'Exeter Book' of Anglo-Saxon verse, the Exon Domesday and many other historical documents.

Also on exhibition were some amazing artifacts from WW2 along with some beautiful tapestry work.Read more
