Kein New York Aufenthalt ohne einen Gottesdienst Besuch. Ich hatte eine lebendige Gemeinde ausgesucht mit tollem Chor. Sie scheinen schon seit Jahren nicht mehr in dem runtergekommen Gebäude in einem Außenbezirk von Brooklyn zu sein. Leider wusste Google nichts davon sodass wir erst an der falschen Stelle vor verschlossener Tür standen. Nach weiteren 7 U-Bahn Stationen haben wir die Gemeinde dann mitten in der Innenstadt mit etwas Verspätung gefunden. Sie sind gut organisiert, voll, ca. 220 Leute im Chor und 1000 im Gottesdienst.Read more

Finally, dinner at Peter Lugers. Not sure if this is just an old school place, or if they’re money laundering….the only take cash or debit cards. NO CREDIT CARDS. If you go, take PLENTY of cash because it ain’t cheap. However, the food is excellent and plentiful, wait staff is pleasant and the place is packed so make a reservation. If you drink, be prepared to pay $25 to $30 per drink.Read more
